Entreprenuership Lecture Series
Dr. Mark Hasso is incorporating a real-world aspect in his construction business and finance class at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has invited five distinguished leaders in construction management each with a unique perspective, to give interactive lectures to students during the semester.

The Construction Management Entrepreneurship Lecture Series begins Feb. 17, and is open to everyone at Wentworth. Dr. Hasso’s students, working in groups, are required to develop viable construction business proposals. The lectures will enhance this entrepreneurial aspect of the course by offering each student the opportunity to work directly with a leader in their prospective field.

“As they work towards their own proposals they will be able to get feedback from the speakers," Dr. Hasso said. Given the prominence of the speakers, which include four presidents of leading companies, that interaction is likely to be invaluable to the students.

This class is an example of how Wentworth achieves its goals of academic excellence, community involvement, and economic impact. These lectures will give students the chance to turn academic theory into practical real-life application by bridging the gap between the classroom and the professional world.

John Fuller, president of Fuller Associates, Inc. and Wentworth Corporator, is the first presenter in the series. He will present at the Beatty Hall faculty dining area, on Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
