Purpose of Jobs, Duties, and Responsibilities

The Office Assistant at the TLC serves as the first point of contact for students when they enter the Center. They should be friendly, courteous, customer service oriented and reliable.  This is not a tutoring position.

Tasks include: Greeting students, making, cancelling, and rescheduling student appointments using our scheduling software, answering questions from walk in visitors, assisting students with questions about the Learning Center, answering telephone, filing, photocopying/faxing, data entry, running errands, creating flyers, and keeping the Learning Center neat and organized. Other duties as assigned. 


Applicant must be able to perform duties with limited supervision. Office experience is helpful. Position duration: Fall semester with the opportunity for continuation.

Multiple positions available – The center is open from 9:00 AM-5:00PM, M - F
