Community Standards Board

Our Mission

The Community Standards Board raises awareness about Wentworth’s Student Code of Conduct, and seeks to establish and promote personal integrity and a sense of community on the Wentworth campus and its surrounding areas.

Along with the Office of Community Standards and the Dean of Students, we seek to promote personal growth in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and the Wentworth Creed. We accomplish this task by advocating responsible decision making through the process of intentional sanctioning.

Through our creed, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Responsibility, we strive to create an environment of social responsibility and community ethics.

Community Standards Board Creed

Respect: We vow to treat all students with the respect they deserve, regardless of race, religion, background, or walk of life, and we vow not to tolerate disrespect from ourselves or others. We acknowledge that we are all members of our community, and that a community can only be as strong as the bonds of its constituents. We respect ourselves and all those we encounter.

Integrity: We believe that an honest and ethical approach to life and its problems is the most beneficial way to serve ourselves and our community. We recognize that truth and justice are essential to the success and growth of a community, and we strive to promote those values. We aim to uphold the values of integrity in both our professional and personal lives.

Compassion: We have faith that all members of our community are compassionate towards one another, and we seek to be the same. We judge others the way we ourselves would wish to be judged, and do our best to honor and maintain the confidentiality of the discipline process. We show compassion towards all members of our community, and, through intentional sanctioning and community outreach, challenge the members of our community to better themselves.

Responsibility: We assume a sense of personal responsibility in all our actions. We have a responsibility to both be true to ourselves, and to the community we are a part of. We always assume responsibility for our actions, thoughts, words, and feelings, and we expect the members of our community to do the same.
