Safety / Crime Prevention Programs
The Wentworth Department of Public Safety believes that a well-informed, alert public is the best defense against crime. Safety and security are concerns that should be shared by all members of the campus community. For these reasons, the Department of Public Safety offers a number of programs throughout the academic year to address personal safety, property security, and crime prevention. These programs are scheduled through any of the organizations on campus.
The following is a list of crime prevention programs available at WIT:
24 Hour Safety Escort Service
Provided by vehicle or on foot to community members traveling on campus or to local green or orange line MBTA stops.
R.A.D. (systems)
A Rape Aggression Defense program is offered by specially trained and certified officers at least twice per year. The objective of this program is to develop and enhance the options of self defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked. To set a training program or obtain additional information please contact the Department of Public Safety at 617-989-4400.
Sexual Assault Awareness, Education, and Prevention
Wentworth Police are members of local and regional sexual assault prevention and investigation networks.
