COMP113 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS  1-2-2
Introductory level programming. Also trains the student to use word processing software, spreadsheet software, database management software, presentation graphics software, and simple operating system commands. Co requisite: MATH205 College Mathematics I..

ENGL100 ENGLISH I (COMPOSITION) 4-0-4
Through a study of the major problems which students encounter in writing-unity, coherence, effective development - the groundwork will be laid for the principal aim of the course: to write well-organized paragraphs and compositions. To serve as models of effective writing, various essays will be read for form and content. Weekly research and/or writing assignments will be expected in this course. Prerequisite: English Placement Test.

MANF255 PRODUCTION PROCESSES 3-2-4
This survey course introduces the student to modern manufacturing processes and operations. Through lectures, demonstrations, and practical lab work the student will gain an understanding of machining methods, CNC programming, casting and welding processes.

MATH205 COLLEGE MATHEMATICS I   3-2-4
Algebra and trigonometry, including algebraic fractions, systems of linear equations, quadratic equations, literal equations, word problems and their solutions, right triangles, and vectors. Applications will be stressed. Prerequisite: High School Algebra II.

MATH245 COLLEGE MATHEMATICS II   3-2-4
Graphing functions, including properties of linear and quadratic functions, variation of functions, natural log functions, systems of N equations and N unknowns, solving fractional and exponential equations as an introduction to calculus. Prerequisite: MATH205 College Math I, or Applied Math./Sciences Department Head approval.

MGMT105 MANAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGY 2-0-2
The course reviews time management, study skills, and other strategies for college success. Course focuses on the scope of technology management: design, production, finance, marketing, accounting, sales, distribution and human relations.

COMP482 BUSINESS APPLICATIONS 2-2-3
This course covers the design and implementation of computer programs for several business areas including marketing and accounting. The student will design and write programs for these areas..

ECON115 MACROECONOMICS 3-2-4
An introduction to the functioning of market economics. National income determination, and the role of labor and capital in the determination of economic aggregates. Public and economic policy associated with unemployment and inflation, and fiscal and monetary policy. Prerequisite: ENGL100 English I and MATH205 College Mathematics I.

ENGL115 ENGLISH II (LITERATURE AND COMPOSITION) 3-0-3
While emphasizing the development of effective writing skills through frequent practice, this course introduces the student to the study of literature and literary themes in representative fictional, dramatic and poetic forms. A term paper will be required. Weekly research and/or writing assignments will be expected in this course. Prerequisite: ENGL100 English I (Composition) or equivalent.

PHYS210 COLLEGE PHYSICS I   3-2-4
General introduction to mechanics. Topics include kinematics, vectors, Newton’s Laws, equilibrium, work and energy, momentum, circular motion. Prerequisite: MATH205 College Mathematics I or approval of Applied Mathematics/Sciences Department Head.
