Purpose

The purpose of the Management of Technology degree is to prepare our students to work in Multi-disciplinary teams, to function and grow effectively and responsibly within a diverse and ever-changing work force. Students also learn to understand the economic, behavioral, and managerial complexities of the contemporary technical work environment in both private and public sectors.

  • Importance of effective leadership and life-long learning

  • Develop a sense of professionalism oriented toward successfully working in the 21st century.

Communication

Managers are in unison about the need for effective communication in the work force. In the technical work force, there is no doubt that it is an essential skill. The writing / communications component at Wentworth Institute of Technology's BMT program has been developed to respond to the need by instilling in our students those skills necessary for them to communicate, both orally and in writing, in their classes, in the workplace, and in their community. It is our goal to continue to provide a solid grounding in the BMT program while exploring opportunities for enriching, expanding, and improving our students education.
