Still

I've been trying to write a poem:
"Fiduciary Of Your Heart"
(from the Latin fiducia
confidence, trust)

It's going nowhere.
What do I know about trust?

I never trust confidence men,
Faithless custodians; I was one.
Or confident men either,
Hearts too sold, too intent
On tallies; I was one.

All I can do now
Is to extend myself &
Be still.

Still, you can trust me
Now, then, when,
You need me
Still.
